Summary

In the final episode of 2025, Foo Fighters Live’s head writer and Instagram curator Kirri Liepins joins us for a Foo Fighters review of the year.

What started out as a quiet 30th anniversary year for the band turned into an eventful one - with a new drummer, two song releases, cryptic social media messages and a live comeback that included performances in five different countries.

As well as discussing all the key Foos talking points from the past 12 months, we also mull over the band’s plans for 2026.

Topics Discussed

  • Nirvana reunion for Fire Aid/SNL concerts
  • Dave Grohl’s Coachella appearance with LA Philharmonic
  • Josh Freese’s departure/Ilan Rubin’s arrival
  • 30th anniversary and new song releases
  • The band’s live return
  • Foo Fighters in 2026

Foos Files is taking a short break for the Christmas period and will return in January 2026.
